Traditional therapies often focus only on the symptom and treat you for that—take back pain, for example. But why did the back pain appear in the first place? It's likely a result of other body parts not working well together (out of alignment). Postural alignment therapy works by looking at the body as a complete unit, understanding that all body parts are connected, and getting to the root cause of the issue.
Let’s go back to that back pain example. Maybe you have a job that requires a lot of sitting, and suddenly, lifting a grocery bag caused pain. You might be puzzled because it’s something you’ve done before without any trouble, and you hoped that resting for a few days would make it go away. The reality is, for that pain to happen, many parts of your body might have been out of alignment long before, and the grocery bag just triggered it.
Your feet might be turned outward, your pelvis could be misaligned, your spine might be adapting to your chair, your shoulders could be rounded, and your head might be leaning forward slightly. Other muscles try to compensate for those that aren’t doing their job. This imbalance continues until eventually, the wear and tear become too much, and the pain strikes.
Until you address the root cause, that pain will keep coming and going, leading to more issues over the long run.
To get your personalized postural alignment therapy, you’ll start by submitting four photos of yourself (you’ll have a guide on how to take these photos). We’ll analyze them together in our first session and then provide you with daily exercises—a simple routine tailored specifically to your needs. These exercises can be done with minimal equipment, right at home, setting you up to start your day in the best way possible.
